Can I listen to immigration court audio recordings online?
Last reviewed: August 31, 2026
High-volatility procedure. EOIR portal features and record-access procedures can change. Verify the current official process when you need a recording.
Immigration court hearings are recorded, but that does not mean every respondent can simply search a public website and stream the courtroom audio. Access depends on the case, requester, type of record, and EOIR's current record-access procedures.
If you need audio from your own proceedings, first identify the hearing date, immigration court, A-number, and type of hearing. Check your EOIR Respondent Access account and current EOIR instructions for records available electronically to you. If the recording is not available through the portal, follow EOIR's current process for requesting records or audio.
Do not rely on an unofficial recording or a third party's summary when the official record matters. Keep any official audio file together with the hearing notice and a note identifying the hearing date.
Court audio can help clarify what occurred, but it is not a substitute for the written record or legal advice. If a deadline is unclear, contact the court or your representative rather than waiting for an audio request.
Because access tools and portal features can change, verify the live EOIR instructions when you need a recording.
